HOW MUCH ARE TICKETS?

It’s £50 for the 13-week season (the equivalent of £3.84 per week), and the more that enter the bigger the top prizes, but we have guaranteed over £6,500 in cash and tackle

WHAT ARE THE TICKET TYPES?

You buy a ticket based on the most common competition type you enter, be that open, club or major standard (majors being big money events with qualifiers). You can buy a ticket for more than one category.

WHY CAN I SEE MYSELF IN THE RESULTS EVEN THOUGH I DONT HAVE A TICKET?

Although all anglers in matches scored on the Hot Fishin’ platform will appear in results tables as competitors, they require a claimed angler account to buy a ticket and appear as a paid contestant to win prizes.

HOW DOES THE SCORING WORK?

Matches with 15+ Anglers get 10 points for the win, down to 1 point for the 10th position. Anglers also get an ‘additional’ 5% points bonus proportional to the number of competitors in their match to credit winning in a larger competition.

HOW LONG IS A SEASON?

A new season starts every Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.  Each tournament will run for 13 weeks and use the best ten-match results from the angler’s competitions.

HOW ARE SMALL MATCHES SCORED?

Matches with 10 – 14 Anglers get 8 points for the win, and custom top placements receive points:
– If 10 anglers are in the match, the top 4 receive points
– If 11 anglers are in the match, the top 5 receive points
– If 12 anglers are in the match, the top 6 receive points
– If 13 anglers are in the match, the top 7 receive points
– If 14 anglers’ are in the match, the top 8 receive points

DO ALL MATCHES GET POINTS?

If an angler competes in several matches during one week, only the best match result will count and display in the results table.

DOES A DID NOT WEIGH GET POINTS?

No. Anglers must have weighed something to be eligible for points. A DNW does not get points.

WHEN ARE THE POINTS RECALCULATED?

The league table is updated every Wednesday for the previous week to give organisers time to upload results after the weekend.

YOUNG ANGLER LEAGUE RULES

HOW DOES THE SCORING WORK?

The maximum points an angler can get is related to how many are in the match. So if it is a 15 peg match, it would be 15 points for the win, down to 1 point for 15th place regardless of weight. If there were 20 in the match, 20 points for the win and so on.  This way anglers can get points for every single match.

WHAT MATCHES QUALIFY FOR POINTS?

It can be a junior, adult, club, open, weekday or weekend match.

HOW MANY MATCHES CAN YOU COMPETE IN EACH WEEK?

All matches count during the week, even if more than one is competed in.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE IS A TIE ON POINTS?

After the 13-week season is complete, if there is a tie on points, it will go down to how many first places each angler achieved, then second and so on.
