      We organise fishing matches and in the process raise funds for different charities. We host the York Tackle YAP SUPER SERIES, which consists of 8 matches across various venues, one a month from March to October, where the anglers top 5 results go towards their "Order of Merit" table position. We also host the "Big Fish Off" held at Lindholme Lakes during August of each year, the YAP Pairs, the Old Foggies match for those who are 50 years of age and over and the Individuals/Blind Pairs. All our matches are open events and based on a first come first serve basis.

      Open Match on Sat, 3rd October '20

      A commercial water coarse fishing match for competing individuals

      6hrs duration, with draw time at 08:00

      Description

      This is the final match in the York Tackle YAP Super Series Charity Opens for 2020 and lead us to see who is crowned the 2020 Series Champion. The match is open to anglers of all standards and has 30 pegs available and entries will close on Wednesday 30th September 2020. To enter this match contact Neil Hart on 07921128063. All profits from the match will go to St Leonard's Hospice based in York. Due to the current restrictions and guidelines the peg draw will take place on Friday 2nd October 2020 live on Facebook. Anglers can go down to their pegs from 8am with the match being fished from 10am to 4pm. Please Note: Please make sure you follow all the venues social distancing rules. You will need to wear a mask when going into the venues shop and also the cafe when walking around or using the toilets. If using the cafe you must go straight to a table and they will come to you for your order. It is table service only. For the match it is a 50lb net limit and you can mix the fish in the nets. 50lb to 6olb you drop back to 50lb. Over 60lb your net is void. You cannot follow the weigh in around the lake. Prize money will be paid out on Sunday 4th October 2020 via PayPal or Bank Transfer.

With fewer Majors in Autumn all matches will fit into either the Open Matches or the Club Matches category.         During the Summer season we had an amazing engagement from 7,468 unique anglers involved. We gave away over £10,000 in prizes and hosted a dedicated YouTube show, The Weigh-In , that followed the results of the anglers and matches in the tournament.
